We are excited to announce that the winners of the Ground Up Music Prize Draw (launched at the start of the city-wide inclusive music project in 2025) will be revealed

every stage of their creative journey:

In addition, all winners will receive a free copy of the powerful and versatile digital audio workstation (DAW), Cockos REAPER, along with exclusive Ground Up Music swag -
enough to get any budding music producer going!
Despite significant challenges, including a break-in at the Chime Creation Centre last summer - where Ground Up Music takes place - the teams at Beat This and Drip Dry Productions remained committed to the project. Through determination and resilience and the launch of a Crowdfund, the programme continued to support musicians, ensuring participants could keep recording, creating, and releasing their music.
Reflecting on the project so far, Benny Turner,
co-founder of Beat This and founder of Drip Dry Productions, said:
“Ground Up Music has been an absolutely incredible journey so far for all of the artists involved! The project has given over 40 musicians from across Peterborough the opportunity to record, produce, and release their music professionally. Even in the face of real challenges, the community worked really hard, and the music kept moving forward. Ground Up isn’t just a project, it’s a platform, a community, and a springboard for creative voices that deserve to be heard.”
Looking ahead, Ground Up Music continues to grow, with plans underway for a new podcast spotlighting local musicians, alongside a series of special live events that will give participating artists the chance to showcase their songs and connect with wider audiences.
