Head to Peterborough city centre on Saturday 18th April and experience a unique day of musical performances, events and activities.

Visit the stages in Queensgate and Cathedral Square to experience a diverse range of musical performers: choirs, orchestras, bands and soloists. All live, all local.  Visit for the full line-up.

Don’t just listen, come along and join in with one of our free workshops. All workshops are held in Becket’s Chapel, just on your left as you enter the Cathedral Grounds through the main gate.

Recorders Galore

10:30am – 12:30pm

All ages welcome

Did you learn to play the recorder at school? Would you like to rekindle your musical skills? Then come along to this free workshop with Recorders Galore musical director Jan Theedom. Recorders Galore is a group of around 20 players performing a wide range of pieces from ancient to modern. In this workshop you’ll learn and perform songs from the Recorders Galore repertoire and enjoy playing again in a group. You’ll need to be able to play all the notes and sight read a piece, but apart from that your current playing standard is not important.
